It's a Small World

Football Goofy

Once upon a time, Lex lived in Sacramento and led a band of daring playmakers known as the Sirens. Following one of their hard-fought victories on the football pitch, a party was thrown at Kristy’s castle to celebrate not only their prowess on the field, but the birthday of a teammate. This teammate being a sheltered, naive sort, it was decided that extra “entertainment” was required. The intrepid Caille boasted that she knew just the fellow for the job.

Having been recruited to bring levity to the celebration, and heap loads of embarrassment on the birthday girl, Alex could hardly contain his excitement for the big event. He had in fact planned a special surprise for them all. Merriment in full swing, Alex made his grand entrance... wearing the accoutrements of a “professional” entertainer. Dancing his way through the party until the birthday girl was suitably discomforted, Alex retired to change back into his usual garb and rejoin the party.

After playing several rounds of beer pong with Alex, and partaking in loads of discourse, it occurred to Lex that this fellow was a grand hero of the finest caliber. She jokingly inquired, thinking to herself that surely this type of awesomeness was one of a kind, “Don’t you have a single older brother I could date?” To her surprise and delight after a slight pause, Alex said, “Actually, I do!”

From this moment forth, Alex did his utmost to make a meeting happen; but no matter how he tried, Casey was always busy, or Lex was, and the two could never meet. Exasperated, Alex finally requested, “Can I just give him your number?” Casey and Lex then decided after many conversations that they HAD to make a meeting happen. Luckily, Lex was going to a 49ers game shortly thereafter, and it was decided they would meet for dinner.

Fate was finally on their side. Dinner went swimmingly. Casey regaled Lex with his flag waving abilities, making sure they crossed the streets of Willow Glen safely. They quickly decided their next meeting would be the following weekend, and they both knew after spending the duration playing through Portal 2 (a cooperative game where teamwork is paramount) without any injuries or arguments that they truly had something quite special. Casey went on to become Lex's biggest cheerleader and the best water boy the Sirens have ever had, while Lex eventually hung up her cleats and joined Casey in the valley of silicon.
